André Bikey Takes Charge at Al Fateh Sport Club

Saudi Arabia top flight team, Al Fateh Sport Club has appointed Cameroonian Coach André Stéphane Bikey as their new head coach.

Bikey, who recently served as the assistant coach at Zamalek SC in Egypt, steps into his new role with the daunting task of rescuing Al Fateh from the bottom of the Saudi First Division standings.

The former Cameroon international’s appointment comes at a critical juncture for Al Fateh, who are languishing at the bottom of the table with just 6 points from 13 matches.

The club’s management is banking on Bikey’s extensive experience and tactical acumen to turn their fortunes around.

Known for his defensive solidity and strategic insights, Bikey’s primary mission will be to shore up a leaky defense and instill a winning mentality in the squad.

During his tenure at Zamalek, Bikey was instrumental in the club’s success, including their victory in the CAF Confederation Cup. His ability to organize the defense and make crucial tactical adjustments was highly valued.

His career spanned several top leagues, including stints in the English Premier League with Reading and Burnley, as well as in Russia, Greece, and India. Internationally, Bikey earned 25 caps for Cameroon and was part of the squad that finished as runners-up in the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations

Today he is required to transmit his know how to the players he leads as coach.
