Algeria will organise the 7th edition of the Africa Nations Championship(CHAN) from January 13 to 4 February, 2023.
This edition of the competition will be played in the cities of Algiers, Annaba, Constantine, and Oran.
This will be the first time the competition will have eighteen(18) teams taking part following CAF’s decision to increase the number of participating teams in the tournament.

This edition of the tournament have four nations whose trainers are not nationals while the others are handled by nationals.
Portuguese Pedro Goncalves of Angola, French duo Correntin Martins and Amir Abdou of Libya and Mauritania join Serbian Milutin Sredojevic in charge of Uganda, in the list of foreign coaches.
The other 14 are nationals, most of whom are making their first appearance in the tournament.
