Rwanda and Benin have played a one-all tie in their day 4 encounter of the AFCON qualifiers. Thierry Manzi scored for Rwanda in the 71st minute of the match as the Amavubi and Benin shared the spoils at the Stade Regional Nyamirambo Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
Rwanda had the better of Benin during the early stages of the game and settled well on the ball from defensive positions, creating scoring opportunities.

Rwanda was rewarded with a golden opportunity to take the lead in the 16th minute of play after the referee spotted a foul inside the Benin 18-yard area and subsequently awarded the hosts a penalty. With neither side able to penetrate their opposition defenses, the referee called time on the first 45 with the scores tied at zero goal on either side.

Both teams conducted some substitutions soon after Rwanda equalizer, while the hosts continued to ask questions in the final third.
However, both sides failed to make the most of goal-scoring chances thereafter as the game ended with one goal on either side.
The result means that Rwanda is now third in the Group with three points while Benin is last with two points.
