Former U17 Lions’ of Cameroon forward Aaron Bibout Le Forestier, helped LA Galaxy Reserves to a 4-3 win against Vancouver Whitecaps II on Sunday evening in the Major League Soccer next pro.
Bibout scored a hat-trick and provided an assist as LA Galaxy narrowly-edged their hosts in the seven-goal thriller.
The 18-year-old Cameroonian forward put the visitors ahead two minutes into the game but Gloire Amanda canceled the advantage just before the break.
Kamron Habibullah then gave Vancouver the lead just after resumption.
Bibout equalized five minutes after Vancouver to the lead but Paulo Rudisill made it 3-2 after 59 minutes.
Bibout assisted Giovanni Aguilar’s equalizer before scoring a late winner two minutes from regulation time to win maximum points for LA Galaxy.
The game finished 4-3, thus earning a first victory for LA Galaxy this season and Bibout’s first hat-trick on US soil.
Bibout was a part of the 2021 generation of Cameroon’s U17 team alongside Cotonsport duo Wassou Goue Patient and Jean Eric Moursou. Carlos Baleba of Lille, Mughe Francois Regis of Olympique Marseille plus Dijon duo Aboubakar Dalbai and Jean Pierre Nkamga all formed a part of that generation assembled by coach Anicet Mbarga Foe for the abandoned U17 Africa Cup of Nations tournament that didn’t happen as planned in Morocco.
