Crested Cranes forward Margret Kunihira has been named in the 25 best wonderkids in Women’s football across the globe by GOAL.
The 17-year-old came to limelight last year at the WAFCON Championship in Morocco, starting and scoring a goal against Burkina Faso in Uganda’s last group game.
The talented youngster is recognized among the best wingers in the country and currently plays for Kampala Queens who are one game away from winning their maiden league trophy.
The other prospects from the African continent named is Nigeria’s Flourish Sabastine and recipient of Cameroon’s own Ballon d’0r award Monique Ngock.
Kunihira ,becomes the second Ugandan to be recognized by GOAL after Cyprus based forward Juliet Nalukenge who achieved the feat in 2021.
Since the first women’s NXGN list was released in 2020 ,GOAL has highlighted the best female wonderkids in the world on an annual basis.
