KICK442.com was named Best Sports Website at the 2026 Cameroon Sports Journalists’ Association (AJSC) Awards, headlining an evening that celebrated excellence in sports journalism and honoured outstanding figures in Cameroonian sport.
The annual awards ceremony also saw Eyong Macdella crowned Best Digital Sports Content Creator, recognising her outstanding contribution to sports storytelling and digital media.
In the print category, Mousapha Oumarou of Le Jour won Best Sports Report (Print), while Vivien Tonfack of Équinoxe TV claimed the Best Sports TV Report award. Christelle Wandji of Jambo FM 91 was named winner of the Best Sports Radio Report category.

Radio Sport Info (RSI) enjoyed a memorable night, with Gueules de Sports winning Best Sports Radio Programme, while Jean Charles Ndoumbe was honoured as Best Sports Consultant. CRTV Sport also claimed two awards, with FOU FOU FOOT recognised as Best Sports TV Programme and Patrice Biyo receiving the Best Sports Commentator award.
In other journalism categories, Monchi Mandjo Rodrigue of LNFOOT won Best Sports Photograph, while ZI Pierre of STV was named Best Sports Cameraman.
The Best Diaspora Sports Journalist award went to Typhanie Ngo Bissohong, while Malachie Fotso was recognised as Best Young Sports Reporter. Pamela Njoyap of RSI received the Best Female Consistency in Sports Journalism award.
Veteran journalist Lauren Ngwe Bikond of LTM was honoured with the Hamad Kalkaba Malboum Special Award for Best Veteran Sports Journalist.
Beyond journalism, Wirba Mary Grace was named Best Cameroonian Sportswoman, while Esseme Emmanuel took home the Best Cameroonian Sportsman award.
KICK442.com’s triumph continues the platform’s remarkable rise since its launch in 2018. The outlet has become one of Cameroon’s leading digital sports media organisations, dedicated to promoting Cameroonian and African football. The latest recognition also adds to a growing list of honours for the publication, which has now secured three AJSC awards over the past three years.
The 2026 AJSC Awards were supported by MTN Cameroon, Boissons du Cameroun, and ONOMO Hotel Douala, as the association continued its tradition of recognising excellence and promoting quality sports journalism in Cameroon.
