Andre Onana kept a clean sheet as Trabzonspor claimed a commanding 3–0 victory away to Samsunspor in Turkish Süper Lig action at the Samsun Yeni 19 Mayıs Stadium on Saturday.
The Cameroonian goalkeeper was rarely troubled and helped his side preserve a shutout while leading the defence through a well-organised performance. Onana completed several high claims and dealt effectively with aerial balls to ensure a composed display between the posts.
The visitors took the lead in the 23rd minute, when Paul Onuachu rose highest to head home from close range, converting a well-placed delivery to put Trabzonspor ahead.
Onuachu continued his impressive form after the break and doubled the advantage in the 81st minute, finishing clinically after a pass from Umut Nayir to secure his brace and effectively settle the contest.
The scoring was completed deep into added time when Ernest Muçi converted a penalty in the 90+1st minute, wrapping up a dominant performance on the road.
The result marked another confidence-boosting night for Trabzonspor, who combined attacking threat with defensive discipline, and added another clean sheet to their tally with Onana central to their organization at the back.
