Victor Osimhen has returned to training with Galatasaray ahead of Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League fixture against Atletico Madrid, providing a timely boost for the Turkish champions.

The Nigerian striker is back from international duty after featuring at the recently concluded Africa Cup of Nations, where he played a key role in Nigeria’s campaign. Osimhen scored four goals and registered two assists, helping the Super Eagles secure third place at the tournament.

His return comes at a crucial moment for Galatasaray, who are preparing for a demanding European encounter against Diego Simeone’s Atletico side, known for their defensive organisation and tactical discipline.

Osimhen’s presence is expected to significantly strengthen Galatasaray’s attacking options, with his pace, physicality and goal-scoring instincts offering a major threat in the final third.

The club’s coaching staff will be monitoring his fitness closely, but his involvement in training has raised hopes among supporters that he could play a decisive role as Galatasaray look to boost their Champions League ambitions.
