Vincent Aboubakar will sign a two-and-a-half year deal with Turkish Super League side Besiktas this Saturday in Istanbul and could make his third debut against Kayserispor on Sunday.

Per our findings, Vincent Aboubakar will travel for Nassr to Istanbul today to complete formalities for a switch to the Turkish champions for whom he played in 2017 and 2020.

We understand Aboubakar will earn €3.5 millions per year during his time at the club thus bringing an end to his time in Saudi Arabia.

The Cameroon international joined Al Nassr just over a year ago from FC Porto on a three-year deal. He scored 12 goals in 34 games during his time at Al Nassr.

Aboubakar, 30, scorer of four goals in eight games this season, Aboubakar’s market value stands at €6millions which is peanut for some of the big spenders in the market. However Besiktas succeeded in convincing him to settle for less.

Al Nassr announced his departure through an appreciation message which read “Thank You Vincent Aboubakar”

Our understanding is that Aboubakar is ready to accept less than his market value because the former Valenciennes and FC Lorient goal poacher wants to return to central Europe where he needs no introduction.

Besiktas who benefited from Aboubakar’s goals during two loan spells to win the Turkish Super League have him back in Istanbul.

He will be in the squad that travels to Kayserispor and is expected to feature as the holders look to close a ten points gap off runaway leaders Galatasaray.
