Matchday Three of the 2025 National Interpools delivered drama, decisive wins, and standout individual performances across both Pool A and Pool B, with qualification battles beginning to take shape.
In Pool B at the CAF Excellence Center Mbankomo, Titanic FC Samar pulled off one of the surprises of the round, defeating North West champions Dream Team FC 1-0. The tightly contested game remained goalless until the 81st minute when Aristide Medjo struck the decisive blow to hand Titanic a vital victory and their first major statement of intent in the competition.
The same venue also hosted a goal-filled clash between Mintack Septentrion and AS Ntoung Ngouong. Mintack’s attacking power was on full display in a 4-2 triumph, with goals from Hamid Papa (25’ pen), Boukar Sanda (28’), and a brace from Kamilou Daouda (68’, 75’). Ntoung Ngouong fought back through Choujem Pagis (39’) and Adamou Timothé (52’), but Mintack proved too strong on the day.
In Pool A, Kumba City FC continued their perfect start at the Fecafoot Technical Center. Inspired by captain Gibel Pento Muh, who scored a dramatic 90th-minute winner as they edged Olympique Meiganga 1-0. It was the striker’s second goal in as many games, cementing his reputation as K-town’s talisman and keeping their 100% record alive.
The biggest scoreline of the day came at the Fecafoot Technical Center Odza, where Mintack Haut Sanaga demolished Diamant FC Yagoua 6-2. The star of the show was Ayissi Barnabe Frangele, who became the first player to register a hat trick in this year’s tournament with goals in the 8th, 11th, and 64th minutes. Chinedu Kingsley also impressed with a brace (4’, 67’), while Wilfried Diallo added one (39’). Diamant’s late efforts through Gassina Michel (83’) and Laurent Vatsia (88’) only served as consolation in an otherwise one-sided affair.
Matchday Three has reshaped the early landscape of both pools, with Kumba City and Mintack Haut Sanaga making strong statements in Pool A, while Pool B remains wide open after Titanic FC Samar’s late heroics and Mintack Septentrion’s firepower.
