Wikki Tourists’ Klingshak Longbak delivered a top performance in the fiercely contested Northern derby to fetch a point following the 1-1 draw against Kano Pillars on Wedneday.
Wikki Tourists’ midfield general Klingshak Longbak again showed he is as one of the most dynamic midfielders currently gracing the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
His vision and precise distribution continually carved open spaces in the Pillars’ defense, keeping the visitors on the back foot for much of the first half.
Wikki Tourists opened the scoring through a well-executed team move, initiated by Longbak, with a deft turn and perfectly weighted pass. He launched the attack that eventually led to the opening goal by Louis Dadong in the 12th minute.
Kano Pillars responded just before the end of first half with a scrappy equalizer, but despite the shift in momentum, Longbak remained a calming presence.
His defensive contributions were equally vital, breaking up play, tracking runners, and recovering possession with clean, intelligent tackles.
Though the match ended level, Longbak’s performance was anything but impressive .
His work rate, football intelligence, and technical finesse reminded everyone why he’s considered one of the league’s brightest prospects.
If he continues to deliver at this level, it’s only a matter of time before his name echoes beyond the NPFL and possibly into national team discussions.
