Struggling MTN Elite One championship newcomers Aigle Royal of Moungo have appointed experienced Cameroonian trainer Georges Laurent Djam as their new trainer for the rest of the current season.

The former New Stars of Douala and Leopard of the same city manager has joined the historic Moungo outfit as replacement for François Heya who only won one of their opening nine games of the current campaign.

Coach Djam has been appointed alongside Spanish assistant Pinto Jimeno in a crew that must find the winning formula as soon as possible.

The 1971 and 1994 Cameroon first division winners are desperately seeking points to add to their six points picked up so far this season.

Laurent Djam and the rest of the new staff will make their bow in the championship this term on Sunday when they host Fauve Azur Elite on match day nine of the exciting MTN Elite One championship contest.

Before Aigle Royal of Moungo coach Djam worked for Njalla Quan Sports Academy, Botafogo of Douala, Eding Sport de la Lekie, Bamboutos FC of Mbouda, Stade Renard of Melong amongst others.
