Cameroonian goalkeeper André Onana marked his first clean sheet with Manchester United following a pre-season friendly against Rangers in Scotland. Onana made five impressive saves, contributing to United’s 2-0 victory.

Amad’s left-footed strike in the 39th minute and a fierce drive by Joe Hugill in the 70th minute secured the win for Manchester United.

The match provided an opportunity for United fans to catch a glimpse of new players, including Erik ten Hag and Leny Yoro, making their first appearances. Onana also made his first pre-season appearance, recording a clean sheet.

Onana’s clean sheet was cemented by his saves against Scott Wright, Tom Lawrence, and Rabbi Matondo in the first half, as well as his denial of Ridvan Yilmaz’s scoring opportunity.

Manchester United now looks forward to their upcoming trip to the United States, where they will face Arsenal at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on the 28th July.

Onana’s impressive pre-season performance with Manchester United marks a significant step in his second of the five-year journey with the club.
