Rangers of Bafut striker Katche Boris Fon scored his fifth goal of the 2022/23 MTN Elite 2 championship during his side’s 1-2 defeat at home to Aigle of Moungo on Thursday at the Bambili Stadium.

The 21-year-old who came into the contest in full confidence, after scoring four and assisting once set the stage in total frenzy in the start of the second half when he volleyed past Collins Mafanya on goal for Aigle Royal of Moungo.

Boris’ fifth goal in four starts this season kept Rangers ahead and hoping to end a three games winless run. Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be as Aigle spoiled the party in borrowed time.

Toko Toko Noe scored twice in added time to turn things around and earned all three points for the visitors.

The latest win meant Aigle record consecutive success in the second tier championship for the first time in 26 years.

Katche’s goal meant he has scored against TKC, Unisport of Bafang, OFTA and Aigle in this season’s championship and is the league’s lead scorer.
