The main promoter of Djiko FC of Bandjoun and member of FECAFOOT Executive Committee, Joseph Feutcheu has resigned from the Executive Committee of FECAFOOT.

In a letter dated June 10, 2023 and signed by the retired captain Feutcheu Joseph, and addressed to FECAFOOT President Samuel Eto’o Fils, he said the reason for his resignation is due to the fact that his club Djiko FC Bandjoun that finished the league on the 7th position was later relegated to the elite two championship without any match played which is against the rules of the competition.

“My club Djiko FC Bandjoun, classified 7th out of 11 at the 22nd day of play of the National Championship was later relegated to the second division without any match played”, the reason for the resignation stated.

In the letter, Captain Feutcheu Joseph blamed the FECAFOOT National President for failing to present his case before the Executive Committee of FECAFOOT.

“If you had submitted my case before the Executive Committee that you represent, a judicious solution would have been taken about my case”, he lamented in the letter.

Djiko FC of Bandjoun is one of the five clubs relegated from the top tier championship to the elite two at the end of last football season.

The resignation of Captain Feutcheu Joseph adds to the suspension of two other FECAFOOT Executive Committee members Gubai Gaitama and Kwemo Safia.
