FIFA boss Gianni Infantino has showered praises on the Kingdom of Morocco following the country’s successful organization of the 2022 Club World Cup.

The seven-team tournament for continental champions climaxed on Saturday night at the Prince Mouley Abdellah Stadium where Spanish juggernauts Real Madrid beat Al Hilal 5-3.

The spectacular finale again displayed Morocco’s organizational prowess and the FIFA president couldn’t hold back his emotions when quizzed about the performance of Morocco that was given the responsibility to host the tournament less than two months ago.

“This Club World Cup has a very unique and particular significance to the world,” the FIFA supremo began before highlighting they settled for Morocco at short notice on purpose.

“If we did not have full trust [in Morocco], we would not be here for the Club World Cup.

“It is a beautiful country … it is a country of football,” he added.

Morocco’s football beauty truly knows no boundaries. The country has made massive investment in infrastructures and more to enhance success since Faouzi Lekja changed the vision of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation in 2014.

Morocco became the first African country to reach the semi-final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar

Khyari Omar, the chief advisor of the president says it was the result of a careful process which the FIFA boss also confirmed during his analysis of the tournament.

Morocco is keen on hosting the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2030 FIFA World Cup tournaments to showcase more of its infrastructural endowment
