The elimination of the big guns adds to the number of Elite clubs that have surprisingly bowed out of Competition in an what has been an amazing edition for amateur clubs.

The qualification of Academie Indomtable and Cote de Tarzan means at least 12 amateur clubs made it to the 32nd finals of the competition – a giant massive progress for amateur clubs though a school of thought holds that the Elite clubs have lost interest in the competition due to the management style of the Cameroon football federation.
