Cameroon International forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting playing for German side FC Bayern Munich has eliminated his former club Paris Saint Germain scoring an opener in a return-leg battle of the round of 16 to send the Bavarian side to the eighth final in the UEFA Champions league 2023.

His 61st minute goal Wednesday 8 March 2023 during the second segment assisted by Leon Goretzka put Julian Nagelsmann’s side closer to the eighth final which was later finalised by Serge Gnabry ending the game 2#0 on regular play time and aggregate 3#0 in favour of FC Bayern.

The Cameroonian international had a great game at the Allianz Arena frustrating the defence of PSG at every given time. At close of first half, things didn’t turn out positive for the 33-year-old. 18 minutes into the second half he changed the scoreboard puting his side ahead.

Though substituted for Leroy Sane barely seven minutes after his goal, the former Stoke City man will be remembered by his former employers for helping to send them parking.

Choupo’s goal was the 16th in all competitions for Bayern the season, 34th goal since joining the club in October 2020 from Paris Saint Germain initially on a one-year loan deal. The striker has so far won the Bundesliga and FL Supercup twice with Bayern (in 2021 and 2022), as well as the 2020 FIFA Club World
Cup.
