26-year- old Algerian cyclist, Yacine Hamza has throned the first lap of the 19th edition of the International Cycling race , on June 3.
The skillful and technical cyclist used his huge racing experience, to grab the fist stage of the competition covering a distance of 1003km from Figuil to Garoua , within a time frame of 2h36’57 .
On the second position came Ed-Doghmy Archaf (Maroc) 2h36’57
Third, Sabbahi El Hocaine (Maroc) 2h36”57
Fourth Tientcheu Boris (Cameroon) 2h36’57
The Team Madar cyclist is a regular runner and winner of the numerous editions of the Chantal Biya Grand Prix Race and of the International Cycling Race.
Placed under the Patronage of the Head of State,President Paul Biya, the second stage of the 19th edition of the International Cycling Race competition, is expected to kick-off in Garoua on June 4. The competition brings together ten teams from Cameroon, Africa and Europe.
Yacine Hamza was winner of the 1st and 4th stage of the Algeria Tour.
The Algerian won the 7th stage, which took place on 82.5 km between Constantine and Skikda. This was ahead of the Malaysian Mohd Harrif Saleh and the French Paul Hennequin.
One of the major innovations of the race, is the award of a huge financial package for the best Cameroonian cyclist at every lap, by Madam the General Manager of CAMTEL, Judith Yah Sunday epse Achidi.
