Cotonsport of Garoua have secured the return of touch-tackling defender Zacharie Ndongo Foe from Congolese side AS Vita.
The 25-year who previously played for Cotonsport between 2016-2018 and won the Elite One championship in his last year at the club has agreed a two-year deal with the reigning Cameroon champions.
Foe has completed all formalities and signed for the club. He has been included in Coton’s squad for next season’s CAF Champions League.
The versatile sweeper who can also play as a full-back and holding midfielder is considered a direct replacement for Che Malone Fondoh Junior who joined Simba SC earlier this month.
Ndongo is the first major addition the Cotonites have made during this close season window and coach Daniel Breard will be counting on him to hit the ground running from on.
Besides Cotonsport, Ndongo also played for AS Fortuna during his days back in Cameroon and had call ups to the Olympic and Intermediate Lions.
