Young Arrey Fernand made club history when he was thrown into the fray by coach Nlend Ayme in ISOHSA’s draw against Union Sportive D’abong Bang, in the first game of the National Interpools.
The versatile youngster who has been transformed from a forward to full-back, played as winger, much to the amazement of many.
Arrey Fernand was utilized in the south west regional Interpool and even played the final against Kumba City FC, to great effect.
Aged 15, there is no panic button spotted in the kid who is as cool as ice in whatever position he plays in.
Arrey Fernand according to statistics gathered from the tournament organizers is amongst 3 of the youngest players of this year’s competition.
The figures only shows ISOHSA’s will to give opportunities to as many kids, without really looking at the age, insofar as there is talent.
Arrey played the last 15 minutes in the first game of pool A and got some hits and bruises, but most importantly, he always came back for more.
Fernand was an unused sub in ISOHSA’s second game against Volcan, but he remains in contention ahead of the crucial remaining games against Sporting Football Club de Maroua and Academie Nyom.
