- Volcan of Noun and Sporting Maroua will be I Friday’s draw while the champions of the other eight regions are yet to know their champions
Officials of the Communications and competitions department of the Cameroon Football federation (FECAFOOT) have revealed the draw of the the 2024 National playoffs (Interpools) for promotion to the national second tier championship will be conducted this Friday at the headquarters of the institution in Tsinga, Yaoundé.
The announcement was contained in a release signed by Secretary General and published on the institution’s social media handles this Thursday, less than 24 hours after Sporting Maroua edged Sahel Maroua FC to become the second club to qualify for the interpools.
The draw has been scheduled to start at 10AM at the Conference hall of the Cameroon Football federation in the presence of members of the competitions department.
The exercise will involved ten Regional championship obtained from the various championships, and the eight regions yet to have their champions will be represented by the name of the region.
Going by the option of last year, the ten clubs will be splitted in two groups of five each with the best two clubs from each group expected to progress to the knockout stage in search of Elite Two qualification to Elite Two.
Last year, ISOHSA and Bafmeng United FA sailed through a tough Interpols championship in Yaoundé, but the venue of the competition this year is yet to be made public.
So far, Volcan of Noun and Sporting Maroua FC for the second year running have won the West and Far North Regional championships respectively.
The Northwest, Southwest, South, East Regions and Adamawa have scheduled to produced their champions before the end of this week while North, Littoral and Center Regions are battling to obtain their champions as soon as possible.
