Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe have agreed terms to transfer lethal Cameroonian finisher Ikose Njuma Conrad after just a year at the club.
kick442.com has information in good authority that last season’s MTN Elite Two championship top scorer has agreed personal terms to join Colombe of Dja and Lobo on a three-year-deal from January 2025.
The move means Njuma spent one glorious season at ISOHSA after the club offered him a platform to rekindle his finishing capacity following his controversial departure from Victoria United FC.
We understand the 18YO Cameroon U-20 international had tabled a request to leave ISOHSA in the summer in a quest to satisfy his desire to play top-flight football in the current season, a move which ISOHSA approved but insisted the players valuation be met. The club finally reached an agreement with Colombe unfortunately Njuma picked a liggermant problem while away with the U-20 Lions as they were preparing for the UNIFFAC zonal tournament earlier this year and is expected to be out for six months.
The injury situation prevented his registration by Colombe of Dja as he could not get a medical clearance as required by FIFA thus forcing a delay in completion of the transfer process.
As it stands, we understand Colombe paid 50% of the negotiated 1M FCFA transfer fee three months ago, plus agreed to pay 20% fallouts from the transfer of the player within the next three years and is expected to complete his treatment and get him registered in the January window.
Though Njuma will be registered during the January window, he is expected to be back in competition sometime in the month of March or early April.
During Njuma’s time at ISOHSA he scored 17 goals in 21 appearances and finished top scorer of the MTN Elite Two championship with 15 goals.
He will be remembered as the player that scored ISOHSA’s first brace in the MTN Elite Two championship, against Rangers in just his second appearance for the club, scored the only quadruple against the same opponent during the playoffs, plus the winning goal against Unisport of Bafang and Canon Yaoundé in the eight and quarter-final of the Cup of Cameroon respectively.
In all, the former CUSA of Buea forward contributed 19 of ISOHSA’s 53 goals scored in all competitions last season.
