PWD Social football club of Bamenda is set to announce experienced tactician Bep Constantine Roger as their new coach.
The Abakwa Boys have had a difficult season, where they have won just four of their 13 league games this season, recording 1 draw and suffering eight defeats.
Following a premature exit from the CAF Confederations cup, Coach Nkabyo Martin was sacked after just two league defeats to Colombe and UMS of Loum.
Alain Roger Nseme who came in as a fitness trainer, took charge on interim basis, where he succeeded in winning four out of his 11 games, one draw and six defeats.
Despite a promising start to the second phase of the Championship with a win over Colombe, a run of two consecutive defeats against UMS and Stade Renard, Alain Nseme was suspended by the club.
For the past one week, the team has been under the guidance of coach Simplis, but now kick442.com has exclusively gathered that the management of the Abakwa Boys, have reached an agreement with former UMS of Loum and Stade Renard trainer Constantine Bep, to become their new head coach.
Bep has a chunk of experience in the Cameroon league, especially with his stints at Unisport of Bafang, Lion Blessé of Foutouni, UMS of Loum, Stade Renard of Melong, Aigle Nkongsamba and Aigle Royal of Dschang.
He now has a daunting task of maintaining the Abakwa Boys in the Elite one championship. PWD is currently ranked 10th out of the 11 clubs in the Pool A of the Elite one championship with just 13 points.
Coach Bep was pictured in Bamenda on Thursday morning, during PWD’s training session at the Bamenda Municipal stadium.
This is a developing story and more details will follow.
