Samuel Eto’o, president of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), has congratulated his Moroccan counterpart Fouzi Lekjaa and praised Morocco’s organization of the Africa Cup of Nations following Cameroon’s elimination from the tournament.
The Indomitable Lions’ campaign ended at the quarterfinal stage after a 0-2 defeat to Morocco on Friday, January 9, 2026, at the Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat. In a message addressed to Lekjaa, Eto’o extended “respectful salutations and sporting congratulations” to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, emphasizing the spirit of fair play that marked the encounter.
