PWD Bamenda extended their impressive run to four consecutive victories with a 2–0 triumph over Panthère du Ndé on Match Day Five of the MTN Elite One championship at the Bamenda 1 Proximity Stadium.

The Abakwa Boys started brightly and took the lead in the 28th minute through Serge Bengono Manga, who finished calmly to reward the hosts’ early dominance. PWD controlled possession for long stretches of the first half, dictating the tempo and frustrating Panthère’s attempts to build momentum.

Much of that control stemmed from a solid midfield display, where Ndeh Nsoh and Aliyu Yaya proved instrumental. The duo combined defensive discipline with intelligent distribution, breaking up opposition attacks and launching forward moves that kept the visitors on the back foot. Their presence ensured PWD maintained balance between attack and defence throughout the contest.

The second goal arrived in the 75th minute under dramatic circumstances. Ndonwie Fielding saw his penalty saved but reacted quickest to convert the rebound, doubling PWD’s advantage and effectively ending Panthère’s resistance.

The victory keeps PWD unbeaten at home this season and moves them to the summit of the standings with 12 points from five matches, boasting nine goals scored and five conceded. Panthère, meanwhile, remain on seven points and slip further behind the early pace-setters.

With a midfield engine room firing and confidence growing by the week, PWD Bamenda are steadily shaping up as serious contenders in this year’s MTN Elite One title race.
