Elite One: Bamboutos FC, Dynamo, Stade Renard beaten, YOSA assures, partial matchday 11 wrap with goal scorers

Some elite one big guns like Bamboutos of Mbouda, Stade Renard of Melong and Dynamo of Douala were beaten over the weekend as the MTN Elite One championship was in it’s 11th day of play.

Playing in Garoua, Bamboutos of Mbouda recorded their second consecutive defeat. The defeat came from Gazelle FA of Garoua who defeated them 2#1. Alexis Yougouda Kada scored a long range screemer and Andy Simon scored the second for Gazelle FA. Manuel Joseph Mbollo scored the lone goal for the Mangwa Boys.

In Yaounde, Fauve Azur surprised Stade Renard of Melong and grabbed all three points thanks to their 2#1 victory. Brunel Epanda and Claude Kameni scored for the Faya Boys.

Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda on their part picked up an impressive and convincing 4#0 victory against Apejes of Mfou with YOSA’s 18-year-old Mujibu Rahaman Mohammed scoring a hat trick. Tiambou Yemdjeu Francky scored the other goal.

PWD of Bamenda lost at home in Mbouda to visiting Canon of Yaounde 0#1 thanks to an 80th minute goal from Guy Loic Dipanda.

Dynamo of Douala was beaten at home by Astres of Douala in a Littoral derby 0#2. Two second half goals from Jules Armand Kooh gave the Brazilians of Bepanda all three points.

Aigle Royal of the Menoua grabbed their third consecutive victory of the season. They picked up another three point away in Yaounde thanks to their 1#3 victory against AS Fortuna of Mfou. Boris Mfoumou scored the lone goal for AS Fortuna. Meanwhile, Cecile Meyeke Gefeh and Junior Bembong scored for Aigle.

Fovu Club of Baham lost at home to Avion Academy of Douala 0#1. Alain Roland Nandjou scored the lone goal of the match for Fovu.

Earlier on Saturday in an advanced fixture, Victoria United of Limbe held Coton Sports of Garoua to a two all draw. Richmond Nji and Njako scored for Victoria United while Issa Fadyl and Emmanuel Mahop scored for Coton Sports.

Meanwhile, one match to complete matchday 11 will take place on Wednesday December 13, 2023 when Union of Douala  will clash with Colombe of Dja and Lobo.

Ums of Loum was exempted from this matchday.

Dynamo of Douala with 21 points in Pool A and Stade Renard of Melong with 20 points in Pool B respectively, remains top of their pools despite their defeats.

Bamboutos FC with 16 points, loses its second position to Canon and Gazelle FA in Pool A and now occupies the 4th position with 17 points each.

Avion Academy with 12 points are third in Pool B behind Coton Sports of Garoua.
