YOSA skipper and forward Tegemo Emmanuel, has suffered a dislocated shoulder in their match day 18 defeat against Fovu of Baham and could miss upto miss the next 10 weeks of the season.
The potential Cameroon international suffered the injury at the Mbouda stadium, and was forced off in tears after receiving treatment on the pitch.
Tegemo was later rushed to the hospital for further attention. Though there hasn’t been any communication per the duration and gravity of the injury, such injuries usually need 10-12 weeks for full recovery.
The injury is a big blow as Tegemo has been YOSA’s handgun in previous and during the current season.
Tegemo counts six goals in 15 appearances for coach Anumewa Frankline’s team this season as the Northwest outfit battle to beat the drop.
The latest defeat leaves YOSA on the ninth spot in Pool B of the championship with 17 points from 16 games so far.
Tegemo will miss the remaining six games of the season and could have played his last game for his boyhood club if he decides to move in the close season after the expiration of his current contract.
The player has spent the past five seasons on the books of the 2013 cup of Cameroon winners.
