  • Elecsport of Ndjamena will play Nsoatremen of Ghana in Yaoundé on Saturday
  • The Chadians have had their request to adopt Cameroon as home approved by CAF
  • Nsoatremen will enter the second-leg CAF Confederation Cup game with a huge advantage from the first-leg win in Ghana

Chad FA Cup winners, Elecsport of Ndjamena will host their Ghanaian opponents in the CAF Confederation Cup this week in Yaoundé, kick442.com has gathered.

The reversed fixture of the 2024/25 CAF Confederation Cup meeting of Elecsport and Nsoatreman FC has been approved for Cameroon’s political capital amidst logistics challenges faced by all Chadian teams participating in CAF and FIFA events these days.

According to information reaching us, the competitions department of CAF led by Nigerian born Samson Adamu has scheduled the second-leg game for this Saturday at the historic Amadou Ahidjo Stadium.

Elecsport will be hoping to turn things around at their adopted harbour having crashed 0-3 away in Accra last weekend.

Abdul Rahman coolly opened the scoring for Nsoatreman just after the half hour mark.

Just two minutes later, former Ghana U20 winger Kwabena Adu Meider doubled their lead with a fine strike.

Rahman added his second goal in the 36th minute, connecting with a low cross from Shaibu Iddrisu. Those crucial five minutes highlighted the first-leg game.

The Chadians need momental efforts to reverse the tides and stay in the competition against the Ghana FA cup winners who see the tie as their to loss after making home advantage count.

The aggregate winner will advance to the next stage of the preliminary round and will face the winner of either SC Constantine from Algeria or Police FC from Rwanda for a place in the group stage of the competition.

In a related development, Fovu of Baham will be hoping to overturn their tie against Peynesville in their return game of the same competition at the same city. They suffered a 0-4 defeat in the first-leg match in Liberia.
