Angu Lesley expects Egbe Tiku Albert to commit his future to ISOHSA for another year while the club works on moving him directly to Europe despite reports the promising Cameroonian forward has interest from over ten clubs at home and abroad.

Tiku starred during the just-ended interpools in Yaounde, returning home with the top scorer and best player awards plus a champions medal which has attracted interest across the board. Angu, the club’s vice president and Director of Football says he fits the ISOHSA project for now.

Tiku’s current contract runs until the end of September, but ISOHSA have already offered him a new deal.

That contract extension remains unsigned amid claims the attacking midfielder is taking his time to get the best deal from his current employers.

Tiku, voted the Player of the Year in the SW Regional championship, is said to want a deal that reflects his status as one of the best forwards and best scorer of the club.

Despite those issues, Angu and remains confident Tiku’s future will be at the Limbe based club.

“I am pretty sure he will stay but at the same time we have to respect the process,” Angu told kick442.com on Wednesday.

“New contract talks are way advanced. It is only a matter of time. He found a team that has added value to his game in under six months. There’s no haste to move him at 19.”

“He knows how we appreciate him, not just as a football player but as a person.

“He is very important for the club and it is important for him. I am not worried. But at the end of course it is his decision.”

Tiku was at his best during the 2023 national Interpools, scoring five goals and provided three assists in six games as the Southwest Regional League champions conquered all at the national Interpools.

The teenager has interest from Cotonsport, Canon Yaounde, Dynamo, Astres, PWD, Colombe, YOSA, Stade Renard among others but ISOHSA’s management is giving it all to ensure he stays on for another season before moving directly to Europe.

He will be a key figure again when the club starts life in Elite 2. It is hoped his bond with Brice Tabi Ashu provides the same spark of recent weeks when the new season gets underway.
