Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) have appointed Edmund Sigala as their team manager and part of the coaching crew for the 2024/25 season, kick442.com can report.
According to sources at the Club, the legendary defender has put pen to paper on a one season contract, renewable.
Sigala in his mid 30s enjoyed a modest carrier across Victoria United and Njalla Quan Sports Academy of Limbe brings on board a huge experience of the domestic championship having played over 500 matches in his over ten years career.
Sigala, who quit professional football two years ago after over a decade on the green turf will reunite with Joseph Mbock Maput and Allison Joseph who were his coaches during his days as a player.
Sigala, who already started working at the club will oversee players administrative and fitness issues before and during match days in an effort performance in the coming season.
Pooled in an exciting Pool A alongside Eding Sport, FAP and Djiko FC in a repeat of last season’s pairings, plus Aigle Royal, Union Sportif of Abong Mbang, Fovu, Aigle Royal of Menoua and Bafmeng United FA in what many considered by pundits as the stronger pool, ISOHSA will aim to finish finish in the top four in other to earn a place in the promotion playoffs to give themselves a more complete experience than that of last season.
ISOHSA will compete in Pool A of the 17 club MTN Elite Two championship which gets underway this weekend. The club’s diehards anticipate a better than the already memorable performances achieved last season in the league and cup of Cameroon given the entry of coach Sigala.
