The DR Congo national football team have named their squad for the upcoming training camp as preparations begin for the crucial FIFA World Cup play-off clash against Jamaica.

Head coach Sébastien Desabre has selected a strong group that blends experienced internationals with emerging talents playing across Europe and other competitive leagues.

The Leopards will use the training camp to fine-tune preparations ahead of the decisive play-off fixture, which could play a key role in their hopes of securing a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Several key figures retain their places in the squad, including captain Chancel Mbemba, while attacking threats such as Cédric Bakambu, Simon Banza and Yoane Wissa headline the forward line.

Defensively, the Leopards will also rely on the experience of players such as Arthur Masuaku and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, while the midfield options include Samuel Moutoussamy, Charles Pickel and Théo Bongonda.

Young players including Noah Sadiki and Ngal’ayel Mukau are also part of the squad as Desabre continues to integrate the next generation into the national setup.
The training camp will allow the technical staff to assess the players’ readiness before facing Jamaica in what promises to be a decisive encounter on the road to the expanded 48-team World Cup.
