Real Madrid duo Karim Benzema and Eder Militao have jetted out of the Spanish capital for Morocco where they will link up with the rest of their club colleagues for Saturday’s highly anticipated FIFA Club World Cup final against Al Hilal.
Footages from Madrid confirmed both players are on their way to Rabat, Morocco where the rest of the Real players are camping ahead of the prize game at the Prince Mouley Abdellah Stadium.
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti had hinted he will reinforce in his squad if they make it to the final.
“They (Karim Benzema and co) are on the list and may be fit for Saturday’s game. We preferred to leave them in Madrid to rest. They will join us on Thursday.” an optimistic Don Carlo told the press before their semi-final game against Egyptian giants Al Ahly last Tuesday.
Real Madrid dismantled Al Ahly by 4-1 during Wednesday’s semi-final to book an appointment against Hilal.
Hilal earned a spot in their maiden final courtesy of wins against hosts and African champions Wydad Casablanca and Brazil’s Flamengo.
Four-time winners Real Madrid have had to do without some key figures including; Ferland Mendy, Thibaut Courtois and Lucas Vazquez in most parts of the current season due to form and fitness issues.
The arrival of Militao and 2022 Balon D’Or winner Benzema is seen as a major reinforcement worthy of the task that lies ahead for the Los Blancos. It also adds to the excitement in Morocco that’s now become accustomed to hosting thw prestigious event with the North Africans now organizing the Club World Cup tournament for an impressive third time.
Benzema and Militao who will be part of the Real Madrid training session on Friday are set to grab the headlines ahead of the final.

Al Ahly will face Flamengo in the third place game on Saturday. The former are pitted against Cotonsport of Garoua, Al Hilal of Sudan and Mamelodi Sundowns in the group stages of this season’s CAF Champions League. They will get into the competition just after the FIFA Club World Cup.
