Madagascar took on Sudan at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in Dar es Salaam. Despite being reduced to 10 men for 40 minutes, including the extra time, Madagascar held their nerves to beat Sudan 1-0. Toky Rakotondraibe scored the winning goal in the 116th minute, sending Madagascar into their first-ever CHAN final. This was a remarkable achievement.
