Ivan Cédric delivered a standout performance, scoring twice as Van powered to an emphatic 6–1 victory over Serikspor in the Turkish TFF First League on Wednesday.
The Cameroonian forward set the tone early, finding the back of the net in just the 9th minute. His clinical finish stunned the home crowd and handed Van the perfect start on the road.
Van doubled their lead in the 26th minute thanks to an own goal from A. Martynov, putting the visitors firmly in control. Serikspor responded before the break, with J. Topalli pulling one back in the 35th minute to make it 2–1 at halftime and briefly raise hopes of a comeback.
Any momentum the hosts hoped to build quickly disappeared after the restart. Van returned with renewed intensity, dominating proceedings and stretching their advantage through goals from K. Mamah, E. Seçgin, and B. Ceylan.
Cédric then capped off his impressive display in the 73rd minute, calmly slotting home his second goal of the match to further underline his influence.
S. Hostikka added a late goal to round off a ruthless attacking performance and seal a comprehensive 6–1 win for the visitors.
The victory lifts Van to 10th place on the table with 46 points from 34 matches, boosting their push for a strong finish to the season.
For Cédric, the brace highlights his growing importance to the side, as the forward continues to deliver decisive contributions in the closing stages of the campaign.
