Joseph Brian Ndoko, the head coach of Cameroon’s U-17 girls team has named a squad of 30 players to camp for two weeks as part of preparations for the 2025 FIFA World Cup in Morocco.
The squad dominated by players affiliated to top-flight clubs in the country has majority of its players from Vision Foot while champions Lekie FF and vice champions FC Ebolowa are also represented.
This is just the second camp after the qualification for the tournament and it will be characterized by training and friendly matches to prepare the world cup.
Morocco 2025 will be the first edition of the expanded tournament to feature 24 nations, with all matches taking place in the nation’s capital. It is also the first edition of the global showpiece to be held in Africa.
Cameroon have been drawn in Group B alongside Netherlands, Mexico, and defending champions Korea DPR.
Group A: Morocco, Brazil, Italy, Costa Rica.
Group B: Korea DPR, Mexico, Cameroon, Netherlands.
Group C: USA, Ecuador, China PR, Norway.
Group D: Nigeria, Canada, France, Samoa.
Group E: Spain, Colombia, Korea Republic, Côte d’Ivoire.
Group F: Japan, New Zealand, Zambia, Paraguay.
The top two teams from each of the six groups will advance to the Round of 16, as well as the four best third-placed teams.
