Cameroon’s Eba strikes late to hand crucial three-points to Future FC

• Arnold Eba scored her fourth goal in 12 appearances to earn a telling victory for Future FC at home this Wednesday
• The match day 28 victory takes the club up to the fourth spot with 48 points accumulated so far
• Eba and compatriot Jonathan Ngwem started the game but only the young forward played full throttle and left a lasting impression 

Modern Future FC picked up an important one-nil win against gritty Baladiyat El Mahalla this Wednesday afternoon at the Al-Sekka Al-Hadid Stadium courtesy their sensational forward, Arnold Adrien Eba Tchebegna.

The Cameroonian import made his mark again with an 85th minute strike to crown the home side’s dominance on the day and all three points on offer to take coach Talaat Youssef closer to a top four finish.

Future FC that had much of the afternoon under control with 65% ball possession and 16 goal attempts were made to wait by combination of poor finishing and the brilliance of Ahmed Hussein in goal for the visitors.

Through the difficulties again, Eba who had another great afternoon upfront stepped up in the 85th minute to direct a great ball from Morocco’s Abdelkabir El Ouadi to put Future FC 1-0 ahead.

The goal put Future on course to perfectly responding to the same result in the reversed fixture and making it two wins in three matches in all competitions this season.

Though there were last minute goal area actions, Future defended well and earned the victory.

The match day 28 result takes them up to the fourth spot on the log with 44 points, four less than third-placed Al Masry SC.

21-year Eba was named man of the match largely thanks to his fourth goal of the season in just 12 appearances since he arrived from Fauve Azur Elite in Cameroon’s top-flight championship.
