The Refereeing department of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), has named four Cameroonian Referees to take charge of Sunday’s first-leg preliminary round clash between FCB Nyassa Big Bullets FC and Red Arrows FC in Lilongwe.

Budding Cameroonian Referee Abdel Mefire leads the team which have Sanda Oumarou as first assistant while Bigouh Metoul serves as the second assistant and Bitoh Jeannot has been retained in the regular fourth official role.

The association of the squad noted for delivering in domestic championship matches in Cameroon is telling of the expectation of CAF from the officials in the game.

Though it will be Mefire’s second game in the CAF Champions League, he has always delivered in big games domestically.

Both clubs will be hoping to reach the group stage of the competition for the first time in a long time and why not pocket the huge fallouts from that.

Big Bullets have struggled for form domestically, but will be hoping to find form when they welcome their Zambian visitors.

Should Chise Mbiwe’s Arrows win over two legs, the Zambia Air Force sponsored outfit will face TP Mazembe of DRC in the 2nd Preliminary Round in September.
