  • Teteh Edwin has picked up his first national team job after over ten years of experience and success across the board
  • He has been appointed fitness coach of Cameroon’s U-17 girls team from the date of signature
  • He will partner with head coach Joseph Brian Ndoko with whom he already worked together this season at ISOHSA of Limbe

Edwin Teteh Ukpa has been appointed fitness coach of Cameroon’s U-17 national team barely weeks after he played a crucial role to help Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe reach the semi-final of the national challenge Cup.

The former University of Buea trainer was appointed Wednesday July 3, 2024, by a decision of the Emergency committee of the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT.

The holder of a FIFA Licensed Certificate as a fitness coach and other CAF licenses in fitness issues joins the U-17 staff headed by Joseph Brian Ndoko with whom he worked in the second part of this season at ISOHSA.

Coach Teteh is expected to bring lots of experience in the U-17 girls team as fitness coach having worked with Njalla Quan Sports Academy, Dynamic of Buea, Mount Cameroon, Prisons Buea, Little Foot amongst others.

Teteh Edwin is expected to improve players fitness, performance and offer more to the technical staff having achieved a lot on his own. The trainer who lead Bimbia Ladies to a second place finish in the 2022 Limbe City Interquarters competition has also coach the University of Buea girls team at multiple University games to good effect.

Coach Teteh who helped ISOHSA finish fifth in the regular season and first in the MTN Elite Two championship playoffs as one of the most fit sides recently underwent training to earn the CAF License B coaching certificate.

It should be noted that, in the FECAFOOT’s Emergency committee appointments of July 3, Teteh Edwin, Mwambo Awolos, Joseph Ndoko and Nlend Ayme who worked for ISOHSA at some point last season were appointed. Ndoko was head coach in the second half of the season and the playoffs while Mwambo, who won the Interpools started the season and was in the entire regular season as goalkeeper trainer and Nlend was in charge of the entire first half of the season after winning the Interpools alongside Mwambo.
