Players and staff of MTN Elite Two championship side Aigle Royal of Menoua could be in big trouble in the days ahead following leaked footage of them attempting to lynch the match officials that took charge of their weekend game away to Union Sportif of Abong Mbang in Bagofit.

The match day two contest that was sanctioned Union Sportif’s first win of the season on the hills of their goalless draw in the opening round of matches was marred by the ugly scenes that ensued after the final blast of the whistle.

The match officials that took charge of the game needed the expertise of the national Gendarmarie officials to escape the wrath of the visiting side whose players switched their attention to the Referees claiming they had influenced the final outcome of the contest.

The rapid intervention of elements of the national defense ensured the ugly scenes didn’t go overboard.

If previous experience is anything to go by, the concerned players of Aigle Royal of Menoua could be summoned to the disciplinary bench of FECAFOOT and sanctioned heavily.

Aigle Royal have struggled in their recent return to the MTN Elite Two championship, the club is winless in two MTN Elite Two championship matches so far, having lost to FAP at home and USA away without scoring.

They will face one-point Fovu of Baham in their next league outing in the MTN Elite Two championship.
