Lekie Filles FC failed in the final huddle of the 2023 Women’s CAF Champions League preliminaries in the Union of Central African Football Federation (UNIFFAC).

Despite taking the lead via Raissa Nnanga, the 2023 Cameroon champions failed to achieve victory against Mazembe on Friday at the Stade Martyrs.

TP Mazembe Ladies entered the third group stage match needing a draw to be crowned champions of the zone after a 100% start in the competition and obtained that after equalizing in the closing stages of the game via Mulungou.

The draw meant Mazembe Ladies finished the competition as champions with seven points while Lekie Filles end up as runners-up with five points to their credit.

Mazembe Ladies will represent UNIFFAC in the continental competition later this year.
