The draw for the 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League COSAFA (Southern Africa) Zonal Qualifiers will be held in Johannesburg on Thursday.
A total number of eight teams will go into Thursday’s draw.
2021 champions, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies of South Africa and holders Green Buffaloes Women FC of Zambia will be joined by six other teams from the zone.
They include Double Action Ladies FC, Lesotho Defence Force Ladies, Young Buffaloes FC, Costa Do Sol FC, Ntopwa FC, and Olympic de Moroni.
The winner of the zonal qualifies will represent COSAFA at the 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League in Ivory which will be held from November 05-19.
Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies won the maiden edition of the zonal qualifiers in 2021 and went on to win the first CAF Women’s Champions League in Egypt.
The team were dethroned by Green Buffaloes FC but still made it to the final of the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco.
