Nigeria’s sole representative at the 2022/2023 CAF Confederation Cup, Rivers United now knows its group opponents.
The Port Harcourt-based side will face opposition from Ivory Coast, Congo, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Asec Mimosa (Ivory Coast), Diables Noirs (Congo), and DC Motema Pembe (Democratic Republic of Congo) have been drawn in the same group with Rivers United for the group stage of this season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
The four teams will square up in Group B.
Group A houses USM Alger (Algeria), Marumo Gallants FC (South Africa), Al Alhdar SC (Libya), and FC Saint Eloi Lupopo (Democratic Republic of Congo).
Pyramids FC (Egypt), ASKO De Cara (Togo), Future FC (Egypt), and ASFAR Club (Morocco) are in Group C.
Group D comprises TP Mazembe (Democratic Republic of Congo), US Monastirienne (Tunisia), Young Africans (Tanzania), and AS Real De Bamako (Mali).
