Amus Sports Academy of Uganda, the elite sports division of AMUS College have appointed experienced football administrator, Murum A Baasa Divine as the institution’s head of football development and sports vision bearer.
The appointment was made public this Sunday after the institution reached an agreement with the former project director of EEMSA of Tiko and Santos of Bamenda.
AMUS College is one of Uganda’s most prestigious secondary and high schools, owned by Honorable Isiagi Patrick, a respected member of the Ugandan Parliament. The college is recognized not only for academic excellence but also for its strong commitment to nurturing sporting talent.
Murum Divine guiding young talents at Amus Academy
AMUS Sports Academy operates across four domains like Basketball, Football, Netball, and Volleyball and has become a powerhouse in Ugandan school sports, a reputation they have enhanced by hiring Murum.
The academy was crowned champions at the East Africa School Games last year and reached the semi-finals of the 2023 CAF School Games, cementing its status as one of the region’s most formidable youth sports programs.
The arrival of Murum brings a new dimension to the academy. He comes with a wealth of international expertise, a strong vision, and an unwavering commitment to raising the academy to global standards, while positioning its athletes for success on the world stage.
As project Director, Muruma’s role is central to shaping the academy’s overall strategy and growth. His mission is to ensure AMUS Sports Academy remains a breeding ground for sporting excellence both locally and internationally.
To further strengthen the football department, two additional Cameroonian coaches will be joining the academy, boosting technical development and competitive performance.

Murum Divine’s career in Cameroon includes significant achievements with clubs such as EEMSA of Tiko, Santos FC Bamenda, Foncha Street FC Bamenda, Lefcen of Tiko, and Tiko United (two stints). He has also successfully organized training camps for various national teams, showcasing his leadership, organizational skills, and ability to develop talent at every level.
His arrival signals the beginning of a new era for AMUS Sports Academy,one defined by ambition, professionalism, and the drive to nurture athletes capable of competing on the world stage.
