Cameroon forward Bertrand Max Frédéric Fourrier continued his impressive scoring run in Bulgaria, hitting double digits for the season even as Septemvri Sofia fell 4-1 to CSKA 1948 on match day 18 of the Parva Liga.
Fourrier, 24, netted his 10th league goal in 17 appearances, a tally that keeps him firmly among the division’s leading marksmen. Only Mahmadou Diallo, who leads the race with 11 strikes, has scored more this term.
His latest effort was one of the few bright spots for Septemvri on a difficult afternoon, but it underlined the consistency that has made the former FC Toulon striker one of the club’s most reliable performers. Since arriving in Sofia, Fourrier has featured in 49 league matches, contributing 17 goals and two assists.
Despite the setback, his form remains a major positive as Septemvri look to climb the standings in the second half of the campaign.
