Marou Souaibou has passed his medical and should be announced as a new signing Orlando Pirates signing this Tuesday per our findings.
The Cameroon international arrived South Africa over the weekend to finalize the switch from Cotonsport of Garoua.
Our team has report that the former Cotonsport skipper has completed his medical, adding that everything is signed and completed between Orlando Pirates and Cotonsport.
The forward will be announced and unveiled in the presence of the media today, though with Pirates, you can never be sure.
Souaibou has signed until June 2025 and Cotonsport are to receive a $200k fee plus 20% next transfer fee.
The former Sahel of Maroua forward spent three years with Cotonsport, winning two MTN Elite One titles among other honours.
Pirates will hope he can keep that record up in South Africa and add plenty of goals to the Bucs in the next few years.
The Elite One top scorer was at the last FIFA World Cup with Cameroon and has plenty of personal motivation, with the Africa Cup of Nations coming up early next year in Ivory Coast. The stronger he starts at Pirates, the better his chances of making it to Ivory Coast next January.
