Former Cameroon international Anatole Abang assisted and scored a late winner for visiting Al Bataeh to secure a 2-1 to leave Khor Fakkan with all three points on Friday evening as Pierre Kunde Malong had his first competitive moments for Dibba Al-Hisn.
Though Kunde’s debut was expected to dominate the headlines back home, Abang stole the show as he settled the contest at the Saqr Bin Mohammad AlQassimi Stadium in favour of the visitors after Kunde had departed the pitch.
The see-saw clash could have gone either way as Kunde truly improved the hosts that were chasing their first three points of the season but their visitors had a little more.
Juma Eid benefitted from an Anatole assist to put the visitors ahead after 19 minutes of dominance but Jouini leveled matters almost immediately.
The 26 equaliser remobilized the Dibba Al-Hisn fans behind their team and spur up more chances though they failed to take them.
The game was delicately poised at the interval with either sides possessing of the potential to get another goal at least.
Abang, who had been a menace for the Dibba Al-Hisn defence all afternoon settled it with a winner that summarizes their season so far.
The results leaves Kunde’s club in the relegation zone while Abang and co battle to improve their mid table situation.
