Current Cameroon champions, Cotonsport of Garoua has secured the services of Bieleu from Bamboutos FC of Mbouda and Ako Assomo from APEJES of Mfou for the next football season.

Former captain of Canon sportive of Yaoundé, Yves Alain Dooh Moukoko has also reached an agreement with the club and has been spotted training with them.

They add to the number of signings the club has been carrying out lately to solidify their team ahead of the 2023/24 football season.

The 18-time Cameroon champions have signed goalkeeper Merlin Lako from Stade Renard of Melong, 28-year old former TP Mazembe striker Emmanuel Njoh Edimo, Zacharie Ndongo Foe at 25 from AS Vita Club, Colombe of the Dja and Lobo attacker Amine Hiver Ibrahim Sheriff from Dynamo of Douala and Achille Franck Nyobe from UMS of Loum.

As revealed by the club’s chairman, their aim this season is to emerge champions of the CAF Champions League, reason for the team’s reinforcement.

The 2008 champions league finalists have been unsuccessful in this competition in the past years, failing to make it past the group since they last reached the semi finals in 2020 but lost to Kabylie.

Cotonsport has let go it’s powerful defense man and skipper, Che Malone to Tanzanian side, Simba SC, pacy forward Ramses Donfack, Eno Browdon, Kaiba Djawal and Franck Enock Baho.

This definitely triggers the need for solid replacements as they look to defend the title once again next season.
