SWRL: Match Day 2 Fixtures and Analysis

The South West Regional Championship will grab the spotlight this weekend in stadia across the region, when match day 2 games pop up, with some exciting encounters in the mix.

While the likes of Continental FA, Mount Cameroon FC and Treviso Kings were on the end of heavy defeats in pool B and C respectively on match day 1, these sides now have the opportunity to reset and try again.

Tiko United vs Continental FA
Continental FA will make the trip to the Tiko town green stadium, to correct the errors of match day 1, against an experienced Tiko United side that picked up a vital away point against Best Stars Academy in Limbe, in a one-all tie. Tiko United with a win can tally up to 4 points, while the Gra-Gra boys can sit above Tiko’s Samba boys with a victory.

Cinyodev FA vs South West United
Cinyodev will tackle South West United for a third time since the Limbe side’s promotion to the regional league last year, and will be hoping for a first win against the visitors, in a bid to solidify their position atop of group B. South West United also picked up a convincing match day 1 win against Dream soccer and will be expecting to follow that up with another win over the Checky Boys.

Fako United vs Prisons FC
Fako United are expected to exchange football lessons with Prisons FC at the Molyko Omnisports stadium, in what counts for a matter of pride and points. The local derby will be an excellent opportunity for the Njoku Boys who are newly promoted from the divisional level to announce themselves, after falling short to Options SA 2-1 in their match day 1 clash. Prisons were on exempt on the opening day and now launch their campaign with the desire for all 3 points. Current captain for the Home Boys, Mbolem Carlten is a doubt for the game, following an ankle injury picked up earlier this week, but regardless of his availability, the objective will definitely be to win.

Kumba City vs NEMFA of Nguti
Kumba city will be looking to put up an early winning streak when they welcome NEMFA who sit bottom of pool D and will be desperate to get some points on the board as the league enters full swing. Both sides take to the pitch to outclass each other on Sunday March 26 for the 3 precious points.
