The indomitable lions of Cameroon have played a three-all draw with Serbia to keep faint Round of 16 hopes alive for both teams.
While Serbia controlled the early stages of the match, it was Cameroon that found a breakthrough in the 29th minute of play when Jean-Charles Castelletto tapped in a flicked corner.
Coach Rigobert Song’s side looked to head into halftime with a lead but conceded two stoppage-time goals in quick succession.
First, Strahinja Pavlovic headed captain Dusan Tadic’s free-kick into the Cameroonian net beating goalkeeper Davis Epassy who had earlier been suspended according to reports.
Then Sergej Milinkovic-Savic beat Devis Epassy with a left-footed effort from distance.
In the second half, Serbia scored again through their striker Alexander Mitrovic to give them a 1#3 lead an hour went into the match.
Cameroon then rallied and scored two quick goals in the 63rd and 66th minutes as they force a 3#3 draw against Serbia.
The result keeps both teams in contention for a place in the Round of 16 in Group G. The group is led by Brazil and Switzerland, who play later Monday.
During the last group match, Cameroon will play Brazil while Serbia will be against Switzerland.
